An upside kayak in a river sparked a search involving police and firefighters.
Officers searched the River Stour at Sturminster Newton between Sturminster Mill and Cutt Mill at Hinton St Mary on Saturday. No-one was found in the water and residents said the kayak had been there for a while.
A spokesman for Dorset Police Rural Crime team said: "We need to ensure no-one was with it when it capsized or whether it was lost in the recent flooding. Please contact us if this is your kayak."
