Some good, nay, excellent news about the development of North Quay.
I visited the Magna Housing event at the Crown Hotel and was both delighted and impressed with the care being taken to enhance and make good practical use of the site.
Doubtless there will be one or two nimby types who will insist that those on modest incomes should not be allowed to enjoy pleasant housing conditions.
However, much credit to Magna Housing for not treading the tacky path of so many developers by (falsely?) claiming they would not make enough dosh if they included some housing for those in particular need.
Credit also to the council (exactly which one I am unsure of in these days of local government change!) for doing a deal with the caring Magna.
Of the four designs offered I voted for ‘Approach 1’ which I believe most accurately replicates the area’s original road system whilst including an attractive mix of housing types.
