Five drivers were stopped by police for speeding in the space of an hour and 15 minutes.
The Dorset Police No Excuse team carried out patrols in the north Dorset village of Holwell following complaints from residents over speeding.
One was stopped driving at 42mph in a 30mph zone. They told police they were late for dropping their kids to school and that they had seen other people speeding "all the time" there. Another driver was stopped travelling at 41mph, and was found to already have nine points on their licence for speeding and having no insurance in the past.
One driver stopped for 39mph admitted he had received a letter from the community speed watch team in the past.
All three of these drivers were offered speed awareness courses.
In total, officers stopped five drivers in the space of an hour and 15 minutes during their patrol.
