KITCHENCRAFT of Weymouth has raised over £4,000 for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance over the past 12 years through holding their annual Christmas raffle.

The raffle prizes are kindly donated by customers, suppliers and friends of Kitchencraft during the year and then a raffle is held just before Christmas when the 22 staff

at Kitchencraft take part in the raffle, in 2018 they raised £328.

Brian Cookson, owner of Kitchencraft said: “The Air Ambulance provides such a vital service to the community in Dorset.

“The cost of an average mission is approximately £2,500 and the charity requires funds of over £2 million to continue their essential service.

“The helicopter and crew are in operation 365 days per year and since their launch having carried out over 10,000 missions, helping those in need across Dorset and Somerset who are in life threatening situations. It is our pleasure to help support them and I would like to thank everyone who took part and donated prizes in the raffle.”
