While it's not expected that this wintery weather will be as bad as last year's Beast from the East, Dorset County Council staff are still hard at work gritting the county's road network to keep drivers safe.
They have confirmed all areas of Dorset will be gritted tonight at 5pm and again tomorrow morning at 4am.
Travel Dorset have said there is a real risk of black ice across the county after the rain we have had today as temperatures are set to plummet after 8pm.
People are urged to take care as there could be some sleet and difficult driving conditions.
All routes on our gritting network will be treated from 5pm this evening so please take care during your journeys home. They will also all be treated again at 4am tomorrow morning.
