Snow is falling in Dorset for the first time this year and it is causing some travel disruption.

Travel Dorset said: "Snow showers affecting parts of the county, and settling in places. Minor accumulations too. Ice still a potential hazard. We have gritted roads twice - they may still be slippery."

First Dorset said that due to adverse weather they are unable to operate some of their services at this time.

There are currently no disruptions to Weymouth Town services.

They said: "Please keep your eyes peeled for updates as we have our team out assessing all our routes to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers."

Bus services currently affected:

A1 Service - currently suspended which serves Broadoak, Taphouse Lane/Poorhouse Lane, Bettiscombe, Pilsdon, Shave Cross, Whitchurch Canicorum, Wootton Fitzpaine and Monkton Wylde.

C1 service - is unable to serve Loders

C2 service - is unable to serve Long Bredy, Little Bredy, Litton Cheney, Askerswell

6A service - will start from Salway Ash and will not be able to serve South Bowood and Netherbury

B1 service - unable to serve Rampisham and Wraxhall

B2 service - currently suspended - which serves Dorchester Trinity Street, Ashill, Long Ash Lane, Frome St Quentin, Cattistock, Wynford Eagle, Toller Porcorum, Higher Kingcombe, Hooke, Mapperton

B4 service is suspended - is unable to serve Sydling St Nicholas, Holywell Cross, Evershot, East Chelborough, Halstock, Corscombe, Chedington Lane

Service 6 - Suspended

Service Y01 - Suspended

UPDATE: At 10am First Dorset tweeted: "We are now able to operate service 6 between Bridport and Beaminster only at this time.

"Service Y01 is now able to operate between Colfox School and Beaminster school only at this time."
