Several multi-vehicle crashes have been reported as wintry conditions affect travel across Dorset.

A crash on an A35 slip road has been reported, as travel conditions continue to be treacherous.

Five vehicles have been involved in a crash on the B3390 Tolpuddle slip road.

Police received a call at 8.38am reporting this accident. No injuries have been reported.

Police advise it is not affecting the main A35 carriageway.

Travel Dorset reported that there is hazardous driving conditions and slow traffic on A35 The Plain both ways from B3390 (Affpuddle / Tolpuddle Turn Off, Affpuddle) to Cuckoo Lane (Puddletown / Blandford Turn Off, Higher Kingston).

Snow and ice have been reported in the area, slowing down traffic.

Three vehicles were involved in a crash near Okeford Fitzpaine. A white Transit van, BMW X3 and black Mitsubishi Shogun were involved but no injuries have been reported.

Gritters have had to be dispatched to assist with retrieving the vehicles due to the road conditions.

Okeford Hill is closed both ways due to this accident between Higher Street (Okeford Fitzpaine) and Hawthorne Farm (Winterborne Stickland).

Fire crews also responded to the scene. Whilst on their way to standby duties at Blandford Fire Station, a crew from Bere Regis was alerted with Shaftesbury to a road traffic collision on Okeford Hill, near Okeford Fitzpaine.

Crews arrived 100m from the incident and had to proceed to the accident on foot due to extremely icy conditions. They found a three vehicle collision with no persons trapped. They made the scene safe and handed over to the Police.

There have been reports of a jack-knifed lorry eastbound on the A35 between Dorchester and Bere Regis.

Traffic has apparently slowed down to 20mph westbound.

There is queueing traffic due to traffic light failure on A354 both ways from Whatcombe Lane (Winterborne Whitechurch) to Birch Close (Thornicombe).

Temporary traffic lights are said to be stuck on red causing delays.

Travel Dorset reported that Piddlehinton High Street is partially blocked, with heavy traffic due to a broken down vehicle at London Row.

Snow and ice is said to be "not helping".
