MORE than 3,300 households are now on the housing register in Weymouth and Portland and West Dorset.
The figure have continued to rise and now stand at 1,709 in West Dorset and 1,662 in Weymouth and Portland.
A year ago there were 1,577 on the West Dorset list and 1,580 registered with Weymouthand Portland Borough.
At the same time the overall numbers being offered Housing Association homes has dropped – the figures showing 46 for the last three months at both Weymouth and Portland and West Dorset, which compares to 107 a year ago for West Dorset, although there has been an improvement for Weymouth and Portland where 38 were re-housed a year ago.
