A police officer was attacked following the discovery of multiple knives and drugs at a property in Swanage.
Following information received from members of the public, police searched a property in Swanage town centre shortly after 10am today (February 4).
After a search of the premises, a number of items including suspected class A and class B drugs were seized as well as a number of dangerous weapons, including a machete and two meat cleavers.
As police went to make an arrest, an officer was assaulted.
A 28-year-old local man has since been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to produce a class B drug and common assault of an emergency worker and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
