A vehicle was stopped in Kings Road West in Swanage after it was suspected that the driver had been supplying drugs.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the vehicle was stopped at 7.25pm on Wednesday evening.
Police claims to have found what they suspect to be cocaine, a class A drug.
He added a 42-year-old local man is assisting police with their enquiries, but no arrests have been made at this stage.
