POLICE who arrested a man in Weymouth found an uncapped drug needle on him.
Weymouth and Portland Police said this highlighted the risks its officers face on a daily basis.
A 39-year-old Weymouth man was arrested in relation to two alleged offences of theft in the Rodwell area at around 2.50pm on Monday, February 4.
He was reportedly found in possession of several used needles, one of which was uncapped.
The first offence related to the theft of gift cards from the Park Community Centre on November 30. The offence was reported to police on January 2.
The second offence related to theft from a person in Aragon Close in Weymouth on January 25.
Police said the arrested man is assisting with their enquiries.
