It's no secret that the high street is constantly evolving and changing - but recently, the pace of that seems to have sped up.

In the last two weeks both Thornton's and H Samuel have announced they are closing their doors in Dorchester for the final time. And in January, Santander announced they were shutting their Dorchester branch as part of a reshape of the company.

It's important to remember that while stores and branches are closing, others are opening in their stead, and Dorchester remains a thriving place to live and visit.

Just this week we reported on plans to invest £100,000 in the county town to redevelop it into a historic tourist attraction.

But this week, we took a look back at some of the stores we have lost from Dorchester in the last 15 or so years - how many of these do you remember?

Have we missed any off the list? Let us know in the comments section.
