The A35 is partially blocked in both directions due to a broken down lorry.
The vehicle is reported to have broken down near to the Kingston Russell turnoff, two miles west of Winterbourne Abbas.
Initial police reports suggested the lorry was near to the Murco petrol station (B3159 turnoff to Winterbourne Steepleton) at Winterbourne Abbas but this has now been updated.

The breakdown is causing traffic to build up in the area.
Drivers are advised to approach with caution and be aware journey times may be longer.
UPDATE: The road has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
The broken-down lorry has been removed.
Police have confirmed the recovery is completed and the has been reopened.
