Firefighters were called to a car fire following a two-vehicle crash.
The crash happened just before 7pm yesterday on the A352 near to the Herrison Road (Charlton Down) turning and involved a silver Rover and a silver Audi A4.
At 7.04pm fire control took a 999 call from the police reporting a car that was on fire following the crash.
One fire engine from Dorchester Fire Station was sent to the scene.
Fire crews made the area safe and worked with ambulance teams, assisting with casualty care.
Those involved in the crash were reported to have sustained minor injuries only.
The road was closed while emergency services carried out their work and reopened at 8.41pm.
