Emergency services were called to three separate crashes within the space of an hour this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance services were first called to a three-car collision on Milburn Lane at Bishop's Caundle at 9.07am.

A blue Hyundai i10, a white Vauxhall Corsa and a green Nissan Almera were involved.

Dorset Police said one woman was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious.

The local authority was also called due to fuel on the road.

Less than 10 minutes later at 9.14am, police received a report that a car had rolled over on Chescombe Lane at Winterbourne Whitechurch.

Fire and ambulance services were also called to the scene, and firefighters helped to release a woman who had become trapped in her car. A police spokesman said she was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

At 9.49am, police and firefighters were called to reports that a HGV had collided with a house on Rectory Road in Piddlehinton.

Fire crews from Dorchester, Weymouth and Poole were all sent to the scene.

A Dorset Police spokesman said there were no injuries and no structural damage had been caused to the house. The fire service confirmed they took no action as the lorry had only clipped the corner of the building.

All incidents were clear by around 11am.
