A TEENAGER has been arrested after two police support officers were threatened with a metal bar in Weymouth.
Around 1.20pm on Tuesday, February 12, a teenager on a pit bike was reported to be threatening two Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) with a metal bar while they were on patrol in Brisbane Road, Littlemoor.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Thankfully the officers were able to withdraw without injury and the incident was captured by body worn video cameras."
The teenager then made off from the scene.
Officers from the force attended and a search of the area was carried out but the alleged offender was not located.
Following enquiries, a 15-year-old local boy was arrested yesterday on suspicion of a public order offence and theft of a motor vehicle.
The police spokesman said: "[The teenager[ has been released under investigation as officers continue their enquiries."
