Two takeaway restaurants in Weymouth will go head-to-head at the 2019 British Kebab Awards.
The prestigious annual awards ceremony will be held next month after a shortlist of nominees was announced this week.
Hidden Gem Kebab House in Littlemoor shopping centre and Weymouth Kebab House on Westham Road will battle it out to be crowned the winner of the category 'Best Takeaway Regional'.
The awards were set up to celebrate the growth, popularity and success of the kebab industry in Britain.
In a Facebook post announcing the nominees, the organisers said: "After thousands of votes from the public, we are delighted to announce the shortlist for the British Kebab Awards 2019."
This year's event, sponsored by Just Eat, will be the seventh iteration of the awards. Previous ceremonies have been attended by MPs, Lords, journalists and celebrities.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on Monday, March 18.
