THE Weymouth Royal Naval Association welcomed a new president at its annual Trafalgar Dinner.
The night at Weymouth Golf Club was hailed a success by chairman David Rodgers, who said it also celebrated the retirement of former president, Rear Admiral Gwynn Pritchard.
Mr Rodgers said: "The president stood down after 26 years and Steve Bramley was promoted to the position so he was guest of honour also."
After the three-course meal the 50 members attending the meal heard speeches from the chairman and both the retiring and new president.
Mr Rodgers added: "Our speeches were carefully timed at eight minutes each so people could get round to socialising."
