A SOCIAL worker found a Poole grandmother dying on her bed when she called to take the woman and her grandson to a meeting, an inquest heard.
Theresa Wood was lying on her bed at her home in Ashley Road and was pale and unresponsive, Acting Senior Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen was told.
The Bournemouth inquest heard the social worker called paramedics and attempted CPR until they arrived on December 12 last year. Paramedics also tried to save Mrs Wood when they arrived but they were unable to do so.
The inquest heard police were called and there were no suspicious circumstances.
Mrs Wood, 58, lived at the address with her grandson, Callum.
A post mortem examination revealed she died of heart failure and the inquest was adjourned until June 26 for further inquiries.
