A 42-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with an assault outside a convenience store near Weymouth Station.
A local man was punched in the face without warning as he stood outside Bon Bon newsagents in Queen Street at around 4.50pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018.
Following the assault, the alleged offender then walked away.
The victim sustained a sore jaw.
A Weymouth man was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with assault.
The man appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 20 and will appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, March 21.
