Weymouth & Portland Lions presentation to Weymouth Food Bank - Food Bank volunteers with Lion John Cake and Lions President Roger Hogbin
WEYMOUTH Food Bank has been given a boost.
Weymouth & Portland Lions Club purchased £200 worth of food from Tesco in Weymouth at a very generous discount.
The items were then presented to the food bank, which is based at Weymouth Baptist Church.
A Lions Club spokesman said: "The food bank does wonderful work helping those less fortunate than ourselves and the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club were delighted to have been able to support them. We wish them well for the future"
Food bank spokesman Yvonne Pratt said: “The Lions have been very kind in giving Weymouth Food Bank a donation of food, we are so grateful."
