A FOOTPATH along the Jurassic Coast has been blocked off after an attack by vandals.
PC Ritchie White said the wooden footbridge near the stone arch at Blacknor on Portland was set alight.
He said: "About five feet of the bridge is now missing.
"This has had an impact on the local community because the footpath has now been blocked off while repairs are made to the bridge."
PC White is appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened on October 8. Contact police in confidence on 01305 222222.
