Nine pigeons had to be rescued after getting stuck between wire mesh and a boarded up window.
Firefighters were called by the RSPCA to attend a building in Sherborne just before 11am on Saturday.
Using ladders to reach the window, crews removed the meshing and rescued the pigeons, which were left in the care of the RSPCA.
