A woman was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Weymouth Relief Road. 

Police were alerted to the crash north of the Jurassic Roundabout by the ambulance service at 8.41am.

A Dorset Police spokesman said a woman suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. 

She was taken by ambulance to hospital.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service were also called to deal with oil on the road.

Two northbound lanes were closed and traffic was moving slowly with the use of the southbound lane and layby.

The road has since been cleared. 

Recovery for the vehicles was arranged.
