DOG-lovers will help raise funds for an animal rescue centre in a sponsored walkies.

The three mile event (shorter route available) takes place around Burnbake Forest between Corfe Castle and Studland on Sunday, April 14 from 11am.

Pooches will receive a ‘thank you’ doggie bag and funds raised will go to Margaret Green Animal Rescue at Church Knowle.

The team at Margaret Green take in pets that have become homeless due to a change in circumstances, or that have been neglected, mistreated or abandoned.

Tickets will be on sale to win a four night, two bedroom luxury lodge midweek break for up to four people (to be taken outside of school holidays) and a bespoke pet portrait painting by Cliff Towler from the Creative Gallery, Wareham.

Staff at Burnbake will be opening one of the site's luxury lodges for viewing.

Burnbake's Snack Shack will be offering drinks and refreshments and there will be a few stalls.
