WEYMOUTH: To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Weymouth Lifeboat Station, members of the public are invited to join the lifeboat volunteers to party at Weymouth Pavilion.

This event on Friday, March 22 is set to commemorate this momentous occasion in the history of the lifeboat station with a big party.

The bar at Weymouth Pavilion will be open and everyone will be dancing to the immensely popular nine-piece band 'Soulside', who will be playing a range of music from the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

To cap the evening, an inscribed Vellum will be presented to the station by the RNLI Chairman and the guest of honour will be Dorset’s Deputy Lord Lieutenant Admiral, Sir George Zambellas.

This will be a ticketed event, with tickets available from the Weymouth Pavilion Box Office (Telephone 01305 783225) for £11.50.
