THE renovation of a toilet block has been completed after numerous visitors and residents complained about the old facilities being inadequate.
Shaftesbury Town Council worked in collaboration with a number of parties to complete the project at the Bell Street loos in the town, ranging from the council grounds team to the ‘Build Love’ social enterprise, as well as representatives of HMP Guy's Marsh and Weston College.
The renovation was supervised by leading Healthmatic consultant Piers Dibben.
The group met on March to celebrate the opening of the new facilities.
Build Love representative Nikki Dodds said: “I am delighted to have worked as the lead facilitator of this project with Guy’s Marsh and Weston College.”
Andy Dodds, head groundsman for Shaftesbury Town Council said: “It was great to work out with my team out in the community.
“This was certainly a winter project that was different to the norm.”
