At around 8pm yesterday evening, fire officers attended a blaze at a property at Heath Cottages, Puddletown, a spokesman from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
The fire was confined to the chimney hearth, and was extinguished using equipment from the fire engine's chimney kit.
