CANINE lovers are set to go 'walkies' and help raise vital funds for Margaret Green Animal Rescue

A three mile sponsored walk is scheduled for Burnbake Forest, between Corfe Castle and Studland, in April.

Organisers say there will also be a shorter route available on the day.

Pooches will receive ‘thank you’ doggie bags, and all the money raised will be ploughed into Margaret Green Animal Rescue's Church Knowle site.

Tickets will be on sale to win a four night, two-bedroom luxury lodge midweek break for up to four people (to be taken outside of school holidays) and a bespoke pet portrait painting by Cliff Towler from the Creative Gallery, Wareham.

Staff at Burnbake will also be opening up one of the site's luxury lodges for viewing.

Burnbake reservations manager Zoe Pattison said: "We have just made two of our lodges dog-friendly for the first time, so this seemed like a great way to celebrate that and raise money for a fantastic cause."

Burnbake's Snack Shack will be offering drinks and refreshments and there will be a stalls to browse.

To take part in the walk, which is scheduled for 11am on Sunday, April 14, download a sponsor form at burnbake.com or margaretgreenanimalrescue.org.uk or request a form via email from: comms@mgar.org.uk
