A FAMILY tradition of heading up St John Ambulance's adult division was passed on to new superintendent Julie Dean at a celebratory awards ceremony.
Members of the Weymouth branch of the charity gathered to mark a year of trophy gathering and certificate collecting, which were distributed by Pam West, who is second in command of the Dorset branch of St John.
Mrs Dean, 46, of Redlands, is the second generation of her family to take on the role of superintendent after both her mother Joyce Holcombe and late father John were given the title. One of her first tasks after taking over as head from Ann Stagles was to welcome six new recruits to the division.
