David Preistman has been a training officer for the natural stone agency for the past 45 years.
He is at the Dorset Skills Festival for the first time and is happily demonstrating the advantages of the stone industry as a career. David advises young people to: "Look to it and consider it as a career so you can enjoy the benefits of using craft skills in your career."
I asked him what he thought the best part of the job was: "Well, I'd say the development of new training programmes is the best bit of the job, and the only thing I could say that I don't like is all the travelling around too much."
