POLICE have released CCTV images of a man believed to have used counterfeit money.
Officers are appealing for the public's help in identifying him after fake notes were used at shops in Bridport and Charmouth.
The incident happened at around 4.20pm on Friday, March 8 at Kernow Pantry in West Street when a man bought sweets to the value of £5 using a fake £50 Bank of England note.
During the morning of the same day there were two further incidents on The Street in Charmouth at Charmouth Stores and Morgans.
Police Community Support Investigator Luke White, of Dorset Police, said: “I believe there were at least two further attempts to pay with such notes in the Bridport area. However, staff noticed they were fake and did not accept them.
“I am now in the position to release CCTV images of the suspect and would like to hear from anyone who might be able to identify him.”
