A man has appeared in court in connection with a burglary at a church in Weymouth.
The incident at Weymouth Baptist Church on The Esplanade was reported to have occurred sometime between 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 29 and 9am on Wednesday, January 30.
A Dell E6440 laptop, a red Yamaha electric bass guitar, a Fender acoustic guitar, an Ovation guitar, three Boss distortion pedals, a camcorder and a Nintendo Wii were stolen.
As reported in the Echo, following the incident the church said it was taking steps to improve its security.
A 49-year-old man has been charged with burglary in connection with the incident and has appeared at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, April 5.
