A group of travellers who moved on to a Weymouth car park were issued with parking fines before they left.
The group arrived at the Swannery car park near Radipole Lake on Sunday and are believed to have left yesterday.
A spokesman for Dorset County Council, whose gypsy and traveller liaison officer spoke to the travellers, said: “The travellers at the Swannery car park have now left. They were also all given fixed penalty notices by parking services.”

The Echo reported how Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, which owns the land, had been working with Dorset Police and the county council’s gypsy and traveller liaison officer to facilitate the group’s leaving as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, another group of travellers who moved on to the park and ride site at Mount Pleasant remain in the area.
The DCC spokesman said: “The travellers at the park and ride are still there and as they have reported no welfare concerns we will now proceed with legal action to remove them.”
