Following an earlier crash involving four vehicles on the A35 earlier today (Monday, April 1) there has been another crash on the same stretch of road, this time involving three cars.
Police were called at 2.35 to a crash by the Esso garage on the A35 East Road near Bridport. Following this crash the road has been closed in both directions due to a partial blockage.
The cars involved in this crash were a Honda Jazz, a BMW and a Peugeot 307.
Police confirmed that the ambulance service were at the scene but there were only minor injuries.
Travel Dorset reported: "A35 East Road both ways blocked, very slow traffic due to accident, three vehicles involved from Lee Lane to A3066 Sea Road North (Mitsubishi Roundabout).
"Police confirmed the road is blocked at 15:20 following the accident, which is near to Esso petrol station."
There is no suggestion the two crashes are related.
