A SCHOOL meals provider has been shortlisted for a national award.
Bridport-based social enterprise Local Food Links is one five caterers vying for Cost Sector Catering’s Education award. The annual event celebrates people and companies working in food service and recognises excellence.
Local Food Links chief executive, Caroline Morgan, says she is ‘absolutely thrilled’ to have been shortlisted.
Caroline said: “Our staff are our secret ingredient and I would like to thank every one of them for their contribution. They are passionate about feeding children well so they can thrive in school and develop a lifelong love of meals cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients.”
Earlier in the year, the company won the Federation of Small Businesses’ Scale Up Award for the south west in recognition of its hard work and success with its Weymouth expansion, which enabled the company to supply meals to 15 additional schools.
The Cost Sector Catering Awards will take place in London on April 25.
