At the Skills Festival, Kingston Maurward we spoke to Alex of Weymouth College who is a lecturer in marine leisure.
Alex said: "Working at the college is very enjoyable, I'm out on the water nearly every day as part of the B Tec in Marine Leisure.
"We currently have 24 people on the course but would like more to do it."
We asked him if he was looking forward to the Olympics and Alex replied: "Yes I am looking forward to the Olympics and more people are going to join the sailing club Team 15 because of it."
We also asked him how long he had been sailing and running the club and he said: "I've been sailing since I was eight and I have been running the club for about four years."
Twenty-five people a week attend Team 15. We asked Alex if he thought that the festival would help promote the sailing club.
"Yes," he said confidently. "I think that it would help promote the club and hopefully persuade more people to join."
