CLAY pigeon traps worth £9,000 have been stolen from a shooting range in Wardon Hill, near Dorchester.
Dorset Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything unusual around the time these five machines were taken or if anyone has heard that these machines are being sold on.
The thieves entered the clay shooting range in a vehicle after breaking the lock on a gate at the back of the field, which backs on to a small lane.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "The traps are heavy so there must have been at least two men, possibly three to lift the equipment and they were bolted to wooden palettes in the ground."
