Dorset Police has warned of a number of high-value tool thefts in the area in the last month.
A shipping container belonging to Dorset County Council on Bridport Road in Dorchester was broken into overnight on Monday, April 8 and on Wednesday, April 10 a secure barn was broken into on Wolfedale Golf Course in Charminster.
On both occasions hundreds of pounds worth of machinery have been taken by unknown persons including hedge trimmers, strimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers, some of the items were security marked.
If you have any information that may help the police or have been offered any items then please call 101 as soon as possible.
With this in mind please make sure your buildings, barns, containers are locked securely and if appropriate alarmed and if you would like any security advice for your business or property then please contact your local Neighbour Hood Police Team.
