Police are going off-road to catch poachers and help find missing people.
A number of Purbeck officers and staff along with others from across the force have been off-road buggy training at Bovington.
Purbeck Police said: "This means more officers can now respond to incidents off the beaten track quickly, including searching for missing or vulnerable people, targeting poachers and also accessing places that normal vehicles would find more challenging.
"This is part of our commitment to continue to invest in policing in Purbeck, and keeping the community safe."
