For those of you who are in the throes of spring cleaning, may I remind you that charity shops rely upon the goodwill of local people and their donations of all kinds of items.
I volunteer at Oxfam in South Street, Dorchester (next to the United Church) where in addition to gratefully receiving good quality ladies and gentlemen’s clothes and accessories we are very pleased to accept your unwanted mobile phones, children’s clothes, toys, homewares and jewellery.
During the past year we have successfully sold a large quantity of old British and foreign stamps.
Pre-decimal British coins are also popular and any foreign coinage or banknotes are gratefully received.
We are also pleased to receive old postcards and other memorabilia.
