Walking into the Kingston Maurward Skills Festival, the atmosphere was lively and the students were eager to participate in the many activities on offer.
The opportunities were varied, from cooking to retail and law to beauty therapy.
As we wandered curiously around the warehouse, our attention was drawn towards the air travel stand.
With the smiling, cheery face of exhibitor Luke, we got our tickets and boarded our flight to Paris. We were then shown a demonstration of a routine safety check onboard an aircraft. When asked if we would like a chance ourselves to try our hand at the cabin crew career, Jessica jumped at the chance.
With her life jacket and safety card ready, she proceeded to show off her newly-found air hostess skills.
Next, we spoke to Maria who told us about what qualifications we would need to become a cabin crew member and then spent the day exploring the rest of the Skills Festival.
