A Christian conference is set to take place in Weymouth this weekend.

The conference will focus on deliverance and healing and will be held at St Francis Church in Littlemoor.

The event is being hosted by Healing Rooms, the Prayerhouse and St Francis Church.

It had previously been arranged to take place at the Prayerhouse, but the recent arson attack at the church building meant the event had to change venue.

Steve Hepden will be speaking at the conference.

Mr Hepden is an ordained minister with Elim Church and has a masters degree in applied theology. He and his wife Chris have two children and three granddaughters. Mr Hepden trained as a chartered surveyor in Bristol and is from a pentecostal charismatic background with later involvement in an international healing centre which resulted in him moving north.

He has many years of experience planting churches with involvement in all forms of leadership in a pastoral and prophetic context.

Mr Hepden said his calling is to minister wholeness and to encourage churches to come into a new and intimate relationship with God.

Mike Robinson, one of the regional directors for Healing Rooms in the South West of England, said: "The objective of the conference is to encourage and bless the local churches and for people to be healed. Steve Hepden our guest speaker is well known internationally and speaks regularly on deliverance and healing. His excellent book on Rejection called 'Rejection Hurts' will be on sale at the conference.

The conference will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 10am to 2.45pm.

It is free to attend but there will be a collection to help cover the costs and to bless Mr Hepden.

Those attending should bring their own lunch, although some refreshments will be provided.

There is also free parking available at the premises.

If you would like to register to attend the healing conference visit the Prayerhouse website which includes all the details.

Those attending should arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start.
