A man was taken to hospital after falling on the rocks at Portland Bill and suffering injuries to his head.
Paramedics and members of the coastguard rescue team helped the man, who is currently at Dorset County Hospital.
The Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The team was tasked by NMOC (National Maritime Operations Centre) to assist SWAST Paramedics at Portland Bill with a casualty that had fallen on rocks and suffered injuries to his head, arm and leg.
"The casualty was treated by Paramedics on scene, then assisted by the team back to the top of the cliff path to the awaiting Ambulance to be transferred to DCH. Wyke Coastguard CRT was also in attendance.
"Both teams then stood down and returned to station."
