APPLICATIONS for this year’s carnival royalty are now open.
Members of the Bridport Carnival Committee are on the lookout for a carnival princess and prince to take part in this year’s procession in August.
Applicants must be aged between eight and 16-years-old and the Bridport Carnival Prince and Princess Competition will take place on June 2 at the Ivy House, Groves Nurseries, from 4pm.

Bridport Carnival will take place through the streets of the town on Saturday, August 17, followed by the annual torchlight procession to West Bay on Sunday, August 18.
There will also be a week of events in the lead-up to the carnival procession.
