A number of beach cleans planned to take place today have been cancelled due to the weather forecast.

This weekend marks the 30th annual Great Dorset Beach Clean organised by Litter Free Coast and Sea.
As part of the event enthusiastic volunteers gather at various beaches from Lyme Regis all the way along the coast to Friars Cliff, to clear any litter creating an eyesore.
However due to the weather warning organisers have taken the decision to cancel three of today’s beach cleans.
A spokesman from Litter Free Coast and Sea said: “We’re sorry to announce that the Great Dorset Beach Clean events at Bournemouth, Chesil Beach and Durdle Door have been cancelled due to the high winds forecast.
“Thank you to everyone for your interest.
“At present, all other Saturday beach cleans will go ahead as advertised, but please keep an eye out for updates during today and tomorrow morning.”
Here’s a list of the beach cleans which will continue to be held this weekend:
Saturday:
8.30am to 11am Holes Bay
10am to 12pm Ringstead Beach
10am to 12pm Swanage Beach
3pm to 4pm Charmouth Beach
10am to 11am Weymouth Beach
10am to 11.30am Studland Beach
Sunday:
10am to 1pm Lake Pier Beach Ham Common
10am to 3pm Sandbanks Beach
10am to 11am Monmouth Beach
10.30am to 12.30pm Highcliffe Beach
11am to 12.30pm Bowleaze Cove
10am to 12pm Fisherman’s Walk (Southbourne)
11am to 12pm Eype Beach
11am to 1pm Cogden Beach
