A MAN has been jailed for two months after breaching a housing association's injunction against him.

Mark Hardiman breached an injunction imposed by Weymouth and Portland Housing on four occasions.

An association spokes-man said: "In each breach he has been seen in Castlemaine Road where he is not permitted under the injunction.

"On all four breach occasions he has been arrested in parts of Littlemoor.

"He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for the four breaches earlier this month. While on remand for the breaches of the injunction, Hardiman was sent to prison.

"This was because he had now breached the injunction four times and has a history of anti-social behaviour."

The spokesman added that the injunction taken out against Hardiman was due to expire on December 10 this year but had now been extended to January 10 next year.

Christine Wallis, an anti-social behaviour officer for the association, said: "Hardiman was only released from prison in June and was originally imprisoned for the burglary of a flat in Castlemaine Road. Hardiman was at the centre of considerable anti-social behaviour in the road."

Kevin Dey, managing director of the association, said: "This case shows that the company is determined to stay on the case for the long term. I am proud of the action that has been taken and the dedication of my staff in difficult and challenging cases such as this."
