Yesterday we reported on plans by chef Mitch Tonks to open a new seafood restaurant on Weymouth seafront.
Thirty five jobs will be created in the venture and the Rockfish restaurant is investing £500,000 to update the premises previously occupied by the Dorothy Inn.
Here's what readers had to say about it...
Great news, the one in Dartmouth is fab!

More good news for Weymouth.
Half & Half
Sounds like good news.
Let's hope for the town's sake that the business plan is aimed at successful 12 months a year operation and not just an easy seasonal operation.

Expensive !! just had a look at the typical menu , £14 for Cod and Chips ? This is Weymouth not Weybridge !! a lot of staff to pay and a half a million quid to recoup plus profits , no wonder .

£14 for cod & chips in a good quality restaurant is not outrageous. You need to get out more!

Fortunately, there a lot of relatively inexpensive alternatives if you don't want to pay that much. But there are plenty of people more than willing and able to do so if they think the food and surroundings merit it, as a quick trip to some of the more up-market pub restaurants in the area will demonstrate.

go to a chip shop if you want basic fish & chips for under a tenner, we have plenty of shops to choose from. you may even get some mushy peas too :)

Go to the fish plaice just 50 yards away if you want good quality basic fish & chips under a tenner. Look forward to trying this restaurant out though think winter time they will struggle.

As you've seen, it's not the standard chippy. It wont compete with our other excellent fish and chip shops on their own level. They are more expensive but the food is great. Love the taco's.

Great news for Weymouth, very happy about this.
