A man has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker following a disturbance in Weymouth town centre.
Another man was ordered to leave the area during the incident in St Mary’s Street.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 2.27pm on Monday May 13 to reports of a disturbance.
"One man was issued with a Section 35 Dispersal Notice to leave the area with immediate effect for a period of 24 hours.
"A second man was arrested at the scene.
"He has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place, assault with intent to resist arrest and assault by beating of an emergency worker and is due to appear before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday June 17."
