Car parking concessions have still not been resolved at Dorset County Hospital – more than a year after the issue was raised.
Governors were told this week that an audit has been carried out but the report into its findings not written up.
The issue was first minuted for action in April 2018 with concern that those who were entitled to concessionary parking fees were not being told about them, that information given was sometimes wrong and that parking signs did not give adequate information about the reduced rates.
Chairman of governors Mark Addison told Monday’s meeting that the situation was still as it was at the governors last meeting – with no further update available.
The report is now expected to come back to the next meeting, in September.
The issue has been delayed by a subsequent investigation into disabled parking which had overtaken the initial plea from governor Dave Stebbings to sort out the concessionary parking arrangements on the site.
